From Paving to Supply: Signet’s Evolution
Our Story:
1970’s
Parrish Paving was founded by Robert “Bud” Parrish as a residential asphalt paving company. He saw the need for a good residential paving company while he worked as an operator for a local road builder. His business grew quickly.
1980’s
Parrish Paving added commercial paving and asphalt sealcoating both residentially and commercially to it’s offerings. Rob Parrish, Bud’s oldest son, joined Parrish Paving and growth within the company continued.
1990’s
Parrish Paving continued to grow as a local leader in asphalt paving and sealcoating. Tim Parrish, Bud’s youngest son, joined the company. Signet Systems was created to sell Asphalt Sealcoating materials and supplies to local sealcoat and paving contractors out of our Lake In The Hills facility.
2000’s
Parrish Paving continued to grow, paving operations increased as the focus switched to building smaller subdivision roads, bike paths, and parking lots. Bud Parrish retired in 2007. Rob Parrish went on to work for a local road builder shortly after, and the economy took a down turn. Signet Systems switched it’s name to Signet Pavement Supply, Inc., and we partnered with SEALMASTER pavement products. We quickly became their award winning distributor. Signet added it’s Richmond facility as it’s second distribution point and added more to it’s product offerings and our sales increased dramatically.
Present
As Signet continued to grow, Hainesville was added as it’s 3rd store. Jordan Parrish, Tim’s oldest son, joined the team at Signet. In July of 2020, GEMSEAL pavement products were added to our product line. In August of 2021, Signet opened it’s 4th store in Wauconda, and continues to grow.
Our clients have grown to include: Municipalites, Park Districts, School Districts, Townships, Paving Contractors, and Asphalt Sealcoating Contractors.
Our product lines have increased to include: Asphalt Sealers, sealcoat additives, sealcoating tools, crackfillers, crackfilling tools, crackfilling equipment, striping paints, striping equipment, asphalt paving tools, and smaller paving equipment.
Signet remains committed to offering the best products available, building relationships that bridge generations, and maintaining the integrity of the sealcoating and paving industries for the future.
